Communications Committee

Mission: 
The Communications Committee conducts oversight of the MPA website, the listserv and social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn).  The Communication Committee increases communication with MPA members via various modes (i.e.,social media, listserv, website) with information about what the MPA Board is doing to further psychology in MI.  MPA's Social Media Coordinator is a member of this committee.  Lastly, the committee increases use of website and social media platforms to increase brand visibility.

How does the purpose of the committee fit with the MPA mission?
Communications Committee represent psychologists’ and the publics’ interest by:

  • Distributing information to the MPA membership in a timely manner and on various platforms
  • Distributing information re: MPA Board’s actions for membership about
          a.  professional excellence
          b.  leadership
          c.  scholarship (MPA’s scholarship programs)
          d.  advocacy (MPA’s advocacy efforts at the state level and American Psychological Association’s efforts at the federal level)
          e.  training (i.e., CE programs)
